The François Schneider Foundation has for ambition to discover, accompany and reveal new talents at the general public and to support the contemporary creation on the theme of water. Through the “Contemporary Talents” competition, created in 2011, François Schneider wants to support these creators through the acquisition of their works and through their promotion at the Foundation Contemporary Art Centre via an exhibition and the publication of a catalogue.
The annual budget is 300 000€. Each prize-winner receives 20 000€ for the acquisition of the work. 160 000€ is also devoted to the realization of the works in project form. After selection of about 40 finalists by four Committees of Experts, the International Panel of Judges, chaired by Jean-Noël Jeanneney, chooses a maximum of seven prize-winners.

> April 2019 : The works and projects selected will be presented to the International Panel of Judges who will choose at most 7 prize-winners
> May 2019 : Announcement of the price-winners at the Contemporary Art Center in Wattwiller
