Bloomberg Connects is a cultural app created in 2019 by Bloomberg Philanthropies to support access to free cultural programming for all. The app was launched in 2024 in France to coincide with the Olympic Games and Art Basel Paris.

l’art en plus has been advising Bloomberg Philanthropies since 2024.

Bloomberg Philanthropies invests in 700 cities and 150 countries around the world to ensure a better life for as many people as possible. The organization focuses on creating lasting change in five key areas: the arts, education, the environment, government innovation and public health. Bloomberg Philanthropies strengthens its support for innovative cultural initiatives worldwide with the Bloomberg Connects app, created in 2019 to support access to free cultural programming for all. The Bloomberg Connects app offers digital guides to a wide range of cultural institutions, from museums and galleries to historic sites and botanical gardens, in over 75 cities around the world.

Launched in France to coincide with the 2024 Olympic Games, the app brings together the collections of nearly 40 of the city’s institutions, public art programs and historic sites available via digital guides, making these collections accessible to visitors in person, but also to visitors worldwide, from their phones.

Bloomberg Philanthropies called upon l’art en plus to orchestrate an ambitious awareness campaign in France, and particularly in Paris at the time of this launch.

l’art en plus worked with Bloomberg Philanthropies to build a positive communication strategy that would have an impact on the cultural community and the general public in France and abroad. An ambitious campaign of media buying and partnerships with leading national media designed by the agency in collaboration with its Media Planning consultant Laurent Chetrit, as well as a large-scale OOH campaign in the Paris metro and at the Gare du Nord throughout the summer of 2024. The campaign during Art Basel Paris, consolidating Bloomberg Connects’ reputation and establishing it as a key partner for French cultural and artistic institutions.
