l’art en plus advised Maison Matisse from the brand’s launch in 2019 until end of 2021.
Maison Matisse was created in 2019 by the fourth generation of Henri Matisse’s family to celebrate and share the values of this universal artist. To celebrate the 150th anniversary of the artist’s birth, Maison Matisse launches in October 2019 a collection of limited-edition vases by international designers – Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Jaime Hayon and Alessandro Mendini – in collaboration with the finest craftsmen. Maison Matisse then inaugurates its permanent collection, which is regularly enriched by new pieces inspired by an emblematic painting by Matisse. Two new collaborations were launched in 2020: La Musique (Marta Bakowski), then Intérieur aux Aubergines (Cristina Celestino).
Called in ahead of the launch, l’art en plus designed the brand’s communication strategy in collaboration with Jean-Matthieu Matisse, the project’s initiator. The agency orchestrated media campaigns, launch events and public relations for each collection: the limited-edition collection presented to collectors, media and design and art influencers at FIAC 2019, then the permanent collections launched during Maison&Objet and Paris Design Week.
