l’art en plus has advised Maison Matisse from the brand’s launch in 2019 until end of 2021.

Maison Matisse was started in 2019 by the fourth generation of Henri Matisse’s family to celebrate and share the boldness and the values of this universally-acclaimed artist.

In 2019, on the artist’s 150th birthday, Maison Matisse presented its first collection, featuring a limited-edition series of vases created by three international designers—Ronan & Erwan Bouroullec, Jaime Hayon and Alessandro Mendini— in collaboration with the finest craftsmen. Maison Matisse then launched its permanent collection, which is enhanced each year with new pieces inspired by one of the painter’s emblematic tableaux. Two collaborations were created in 2020: La Musique (Marta Bakowski), followed by Intérieur aux Aubergines (Cristina Celestino).

l’art en plus designed the strategy of the launch of Maison Matisse brand; the agency collaborated with Jean-Matthieu Matisse, who initiated the project, and Eliana di Modica, the project’s managing director. The agency orchestrated the media campaigns, the inaugural events and public relations both for the limited-edition series, presented to collectors, media and design and art influencers during FIAC 2019, and for the permanent collection launched during Maison & Objet and Paris Design Week in 2020.

In three years, more than 150 media from 15 countries have highlighted Maison Matisse with positive articles, notably in major international newspapers and in design and lifestyle magazines that are highly influential.
