CASE STUDY
A family-run philanthropic foundation, the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller spotlights, supports and valorizes the talent pool imagining the world of tomorrow in three sectors: life sciences, culture and solidarity. It has awarded more than 590 prizes to laureates and provided support for more than 1,000 projects.
The Fondation has been the chief patron of arts and crafts in France for more than 20 years, thanks to the Prix pour l’intelligence de la main and its eponymous program. The Fondation has also shown its commitment over 30 years to choral music, through its Prix Liliane Bettencourt pour le chant choral, created in partnership with the Académie des beaux-arts. It carries out long-term actions for children and adult choirs, and heightens awareness of this exceptional practice.
In 2016, the Fondation called on l’art en plus to further share and enhance its pioneering and longstanding commitment in these cultural two spheres, and to bring more visibility to its prize-winners and project leaders.
Alongside the Fondation’s teams, l’art en plus has designed a new ambitious communication and media strategy. The agency enriched and modernized its messaging and communication tools, organized meetings and collaborations with the media and cultural influencers, and generated numerous feature articles to share its vision and values. By supporting the Fondation for its partnerships abroad – notably at Villa Kujoyama in Japan and for the Homo Faber exhibition at the Architecture Biennial in Venice in 2018 – l’art en plus laid the foundation for international development. In 2019, the agency conducted the celebration of the 20 years support to arts and crafts; in 2020, the agency helps the Fondation celebrate 30 years of its program dedicated to choral music.
More than 1,300 articles cited the Fondation Bettencourt Schueller’s cultural patronage and its in-house leaders since 2017. In 2019, to highlight its 20 years of commitment to the arts, l’art en plus organized 40 media activations, which in turn generated over 300 articles.
