Dans le cadre de la Saison de la Lituanie en France, l’exposition « Les Frontières sont des animaux nocturnes / Sienos yra naktiniai gyvūnai » en collaboration avec le Palais de Tokyo ouvre ses portes ce week-end à KADIST Paris !
Sous le commissariat de Neringa Bumblienė (CAC Vilnius) et Emilie Villez (KADIST Paris), le projet présente une douzaine d’artistes de plusieurs générations, pour la plupart lituaniens, mais également installés dans cette région et en France.
L’exposition explore les frontières mouvantes et les répercussions des bouleversements géopolitiques actuels. Deux ans après le début de la guerre en Ukraine, quelle normalité est possible à proximité de ce conflit, alors que nous assistons à une histoire qui se répète ?
Présentée simultanément au Palais de Tokyo et à KADIST Paris, l’exposition prendra place au Centre d’Art Contemporain de Vilnius en 2025.

As part of the Season of Lithuania in France, the exhibition “Borders are nocturnal animals / Sienos yra naktiniai gyvūnai” in collaboration with the Palais de Tokyo opens this weekend at KADIST Paris!
Curated by Neringa Bumblienė (CAC Vilnius) and Emilie Villez (KADIST Paris), the project presents a dozen artists from several generations, mostly Lithuanian, but also based in the region and in France.
The exhibition explores the shifting borders and repercussions of current geopolitical upheavals. Two years after the start of the war in Ukraine, what kind of normalcy is possible in the vicinity of this conflict, as we witness history repeating itself?
Presented simultaneously at the Palais de Tokyo and KADIST Paris, the exhibition will take up residence at the Vilnius Center for Contemporary Art in 2025.

À travers l’autoportrait, Nobel Koty transcende le superficiel afin d’explorer en profondeur les différentes couches émotionnelles inhérentes à l’être humain, invitant ainsi le spectateur à rejoindre ce voyage intime. Son projet « Incertitudes » détourne ce genre pictural, tel un miroir reflétant les différents états affectifs de l’humanité, face à une société en pleine mutation.

Entitled “Incertitudes”, this exhibition depicts the torments that human beings face throughout their existence. Through self-portraiture, Nobel Koty transcends the superficial to explore in depth the different emotional layers inherent in the human being, inviting the viewer to join this intimate journey. His “Incertitudes” project hijacks this pictorial genre, like a mirror reflecting humanity’s different affective states, in the face of a rapidly changing society.

Depuis 2021, le Prix Rubis Mécénat en partenariat avec les Beaux-Arts de Paris permet à un(e) étudiant(e) de l’école de bénéficier d’une aide à la production et d’un accompagnement critique pour la création d’une œuvre inédite à l’église Saint-Eustache.
Cette année, Charlotte Simonnet a bénéficié de l’accompagnement curatorial de Stéphanie Pecourt, directrice du Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles.
L’exposition « Glimpse », rend hommage à la notion de communauté qui imprègne l’église Saint-Eustache. En déclinant la forme de la corde, Charlotte Simonnet évoque le lien tissé entre l’église et ses habitants, et fait la part belle au travail des matériaux et à leur relation avec l’architecture de l’église.

This year, Charlotte Simonnet received curatorial support from Stéphanie Pecourt, Director of the Centre Wallonie-Bruxelles.
The exhibition, “Glimpse”, pays homage to the notion of communitý that permeates the Saint-Eustache church. By declining the form of the rope, Charlotte Simonnet evokes the bond woven between the church and its inhabitants, and gives pride of place to the work of materials and their relationship with the church`s architecture.
