À l’image de son titre, qui incarne une interaction entre l’animal et le minéral, l’exposition invite à redéfinir la place de l’humain dans un monde « plus qu’humain ». Nourries par les débats théoriques et les expériences concrètes, les artistes proposent ici une vision renouvelée, voire ludique, des modes de production et de relation.
Leurs œuvres sont autant de tentatives de penser autrement les grands enjeux de notre époque, pour ouvrir de nouvelles perspectives vers un avenir pacifié, équilibré et respectueux de toutes les formes de vie.

The Fondation d’entreprise Martell presents “The Monkey and the Clay,” an exhibition featuring nine international contemporary artists exploring the theme of interspecies relationships, curated by Émilie Villez.
True to its title, which embodies an interaction between the animal and the mineral, the exhibition invites us to redefine humanity’s place in a “more-than-human” world. Drawing on theoretical debates and concrete experiences, the artists offer a fresh, even playful, perspective on modes of production and relationship.
Their works are all attempts to rethink the major challenges of our time, opening new perspectives toward a peaceful, balanced future that respects all forms of life.

Aina Clotet est lauréate du Prix Fondation Louis Roederer de la Révélation de la 65e Semaine de la Critique à Cannes pour son rôle dans Viva qui sortira en salle le 14 octobre 2026.
Ce premier long métrage écrit, réalisé et interprété par Aina Clotet, est un piquant portrait de femme dans une Catalogne frappée par la sécheresse.
Le Prix de la Révélation, décerné à un ou une comédienne parmi l’un des sept longs métrages en compétition, a pour objectif de mettre en lumière un interprète pour l’une de ses premières apparitions au cinéma ou pour un rôle particulièrement marquant de sa carrière.
Le jury de la 65ème édition de la Semaine de la Critique était présidé par la réalisatrice indienne Payal Kapadia, accompagné de la directrice du développement du BFI Filmaking fund et productrice éthiopienne Ama Ampadu, du scénariste, critique et producteur thaïlandais Donsaron Kovitvanitcha, de l’acteur canadien et lauréat du Prix Fondation Louis Roederer de la Révélation 2025 Théodore Pellerin et de la chanteuse française Oklou.

This debut feature film, written, directed, and starring Aina Clotet, is a poignant portrait of a woman in drought-stricken Catalonia.
The Revelation Award, presented to an actor or actress from one of the seven feature films in competition, aims to highlight a performer making one of their first appearances on screen or delivering a particularly memorable performance in their career.
The jury for the 65th edition of Critics’ Week was chaired by Indian director Payal Kapadia, alongside the director of development for the BFI Filmmaking Fund and Ethiopian producer Ama Ampadu, Thai screenwriter, critic, and producer Donsaron Kovitvanitcha, Canadian actor and winner of the 2025 Louis Roederer Foundation Revelation Prize Théodore Pellerin, and French singer Oklou.

The Prize is open internationally to all artists, across all artistic disciplines, with no age or educational requirements.
The winning artist will receive a residency followed by an exhibition at Lee Ufan Arles in 2027.
The 2026 jury is composed of members from both organizations, joined by two guest figures: Jessica Morgann, director of the Dia Art Foundation, and Jean-Luc Monterosso, co-founder of the Maison Européenne de la Photographie (MEP).

La Fondation d’entreprise Martell ouvre son atelier verre aux commandes professionnelles sur mesure. Portée par les artisans verriers Valentin Rizzo et Gaëtan Oheix, cette initiative s’adresse aux artistes, designers et créateurs ainsi qu’aux institutions et galeries d’art désireuses de développer leurs productions.
Pensé comme un espace d’expérimentation, l’atelier favorise l’innovation. Grâce à la maîtrise technique de ses artisans, il permet de concevoir des pièces singulières et exigeantes, mais aussi d’ouvrir ce champ aux créateurs, leur donnant l’opportunité d’intégrer le verre à leur pratique.
Chaque commande bénéficie d’un accompagnement personnalisé, de la conception initiale au prototypage jusqu’à la production finale.
En soutenant cette nouvelle démarche, la Fondation renforce son engagement en faveur de la création et de l’innovation autour du verre en France.

The Fondation d’entreprise Martell opens its glass workshop to bespoke commissions. Led by glass artisans Valentin Rizzo and Gaëtan Oheix, this initiative is aimed at artists, designers, and creators, as well as institutions and art galleries looking to expand their creative output.
Designed as a space for experimentation, the workshop fosters interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation. Thanks to the mastery of glassmaking techniques of its artisans, it enables the creation of unique and complex pieces, while also opening this field to creators who wish to experiment and incorporate glass into their practice.
Personalized support is provided at every stage: from the initial design to technical advice, through prototyping to final production.
By supporting this new initiative, the Foundation reinforces its commitment to creativity and innovation in the field of glass in France.
