During the first years after finishing their studies, young artists find it difficult to make a name for themselves, to produce their art and to find their first gallery. Laurent Dumas wanted to help them with a concrete and sustainable initiative. In January 2014, he launches the Emerige Revelations Grant as part of the Emerige Endowment Fund.
This unique scholarship is a springboard to the art world, offered each year to an emerging French artist in the early stages of his career (under 35 years old). With a a grant of 15 000 euros and a professional support, the Grant gives the laureate the opportunity to present his first personal exhibition in an internationally renowned French gallery. The grant also contributes to promoting the work of all the finalists, who benefit from a Group show (curated by Gaël Charbau), a catalogue and significant media exposure.
After the In Situ - Fabienne Leclerc Gallery for the first edition and the Georges-Philippe & Nathalie Vallois gallery for the second, the third edition of the Emerige Revelations Grant is launched in January 2015 with the Michel Rein gallery.
